Most parts of the Citadel cannot be visited but the gate is always open so I made these pictures of the impressive brick walls, the gate and the entrance lane. Advertisements
History: The citadel is the only remaining brick stone citadel in Flanders. Here are some pictures from the fortification walls of the citadel. Visible from a walking trail at the rear side of the citadel.
Location: Citadel in Diest (B)
Location: almost in my backyard. Post-processing: yes (I tried to keep it subtle)
Location: Sint-Truiden (B)
Picture is taken at a 2nd year orchard in Halmaal Belgium. This tree was popping out so for me a reason to make a picture of it. The same as with life. “The best will not attract attention, being weird will get all the attention.”
Picture is made with my fantastic plastic Canon 50mm 1.8 lens (yes the old mk-I) at f2.8. The perfect lens to make even an odd subject looks interesting. The background bokeh is beautifully blurred. Yep, everyone should have a 50mm f1.8.
