Tip: Take just one lens with you for a uban shoot – my favorit is the 50mm f1.8
Have your “Zen moment” when searching for the right subject and composition. Get wondered about the beauty in ugly subjects.
Readily accessible and often free from cars. Locations one should visit.
Balancing the light color temperature of the different light sources makes the difference. Location: the same as my previous post but now inside the building (Garage in Aachen center)
Post processing to enhance the yellow (golden) lines, the green from the windows and the blue parts of the sky. The scene is chaotic but due to the yellow lines it gives a calm composition.
Lines and structures of facades are everywhere. I found these in Aachen, Germany
Search for an UGLY item and try to catch it into a composition. Make the challenge more difficult and take only 1 lens with you. (e.g. the nifty-fifty lens = 50mm f1.8)
Tip: Take your time to study the subject. Then capture the subject at different angles. By adding contrast, this mainly grey subject got some more saturated colors in the shiny parts and also the structures in the stone wall became stronger.
Look for odd objects and put these into compositions instead of making pictures of beauty
