Tip: By adjusting the color temperature to cool, there are more colors instead of mostly green. I applied some warm into the background to keep the balance between cold and warm colors. Advertisements
For those who have doubts to buy an expensive macro lens, macro extension tubes also do the job very well. This picture is done with a nifty-fifty 50mm f1.8 @f8.0 with the Meike (13+21+31mm set) extension tubes, bought a few years ago for 109€.
Some may cover this in the category of old school photography. . . So what!!! Gear: Canon 50mm f1.8 MK-I @ f8 + Macro extension tube Location: home studio Subject: poppy seed box – approx 7mm diameter
Laying on my belly, making a small hole in the sand to go as low as possible thereby protecting my camera as much as possible. Tip: The live view mode is a very helpful feature.
Playing with the nifty fifty. “The lens” everybody should have. I use an old Canon 50mm, f1.8 MK1.
The 50mm at f1.8 has some softness and this was a bit to soft so I did a stacking with an f8.0. Now the hart of the plant is sharp and the rest is soft.
Walk around with open eyes and you can see beauty in ordinary things.
