Beauty in ugliness: The algae pond
The pond was dirty due to the algae, however, I saw beauty in it so I captured it and added a frame to it to show that there can be beauty in ugly things too.

Post processing to enhance the yellow (golden) lines, the green from the windows and the blue parts of the sky. The scene is chaotic but due to the yellow lines it gives a calm composition.

Search for an UGLY item and try to catch it into a composition. Make the challenge more difficult and take only 1 lens with you. (e.g. the nifty-fifty lens = 50mm f1.8)
Tip: Take your time to study the subject. Then capture the subject at different angles. By adding contrast, this mainly grey subject got some more saturated colors in the shiny parts and also the structures in the stone wall became stronger.
Brussels has no real skyscrapers but some are high enough to point your camera up into the sky
Look for odd objects and put these into compositions instead of making pictures of beauty
Applying mirror to a picture with a text does need some extra post-processing.
